Founding partner

Dr. Dennis S. Riff is the founding partner of AGMG. He is originally from Philadelphia and attended college and medical school in Pennsylvania before moving to California in 1972 to complete residency and fellowship at UCI. Following completion of his fellowship, he started clinical practice in Anaheim in 1976. He is the father of four children including Dr. Brian Riff, another physician with Associated Gastroenterology Medical Group. Dr. Riff has a strong clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD: Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis) and has participated in many important clinical trials involving the management of this complex disease. He is an author of numerous articles and book chapters on a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and therapies.

In addition to Associated Gastroenterology, Dr. Riff founded Anaheim Clinical Trials (ACT) and is the current Medical Director. He has served as a principal investigator or as a sub-investigator in over one thousand clinical pharmaceutical studies. He is frequently asked for consultation on the development of new therapies for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and has served as a consultant and advisory board member to many national and international pharmaceutical companies.

Dr Riff is known as a warm and caring clinician . Of interest , he spent several years as a team physician for the LA Rams before they moved to St Louis. Dr. Riff is a long time resident of Laguna Beach. His hobbies include international travel with his wife Gail, reading fiction with an emphasis on the espionage and mystery genre and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
