Dr. Dennis riff
Dr. Dennis S. Riff is the founder of AGMG medical group. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is the father of four children including one son who has joined the practice. Dr. Riff is the author of multiple articles appearing in the literature on the treatment of disease of the gastrointestinal tract and on multiple other conditions. Dr. Riff is skilled in all endoscopic procedures and has done thousands of colonoscopies and upper gastrointestinal endoscopies. He is a compassionate and warm individual and an experienced physician in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Education & Training
Dr. Riff went to Franklin and Marshall College and then to Jefferson Medical College. He graduated from both schools with distinction and went on to do his internship in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is certified by the Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Riff moved to California in 1972 and completed a residency in internal medicine as well as completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of California, Irvine. He started clinical practice in Anaheim in 1976, and all our other doctors joined him thereafter.
Dr. Riff is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the following: American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Orange County Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Riff has served as both Chairman of Internal Medicine, and as a member of the board of the medical staff at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. He served as a team physician for the Los Angeles Rams when the professional football team played in Anaheim. He is a member of multiple other professional organizations.
Dr. Riff founded Anaheim Clinical Trials (ACT) and is the current Medical Director. He has served as a principal investigator or as a sub-investigator in over one thousand clinical pharmaceutical studies. He has done clinical research in collaboration with most of the major pharmaceutical companies in the world. He is frequently asked for his expert opinion on the development of new therapies for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
DR. kevin kuettel
Dr. Kuettel is a gastroenterologist who treats all problems of the GI tract, including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic abdominal pain. He is current in Internal Medicine, Men’s Health and fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Kuettel specializes in advanced therapeutic andoscopy and ERCP, as well as small bowel capsule endoscopy.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
A Southern California native, Dr. Kuettel attended the University of Southern California on a Resident Honors program and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. After medical school, he did his internship and residency at the New York Medical College hospitals. Next he attended Western Pennsylvania Hospital for his fellowship in gastrenterology with rotations in liver transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He returned to Southern California where he has been practicing since 1990, and at AGMG since 2002.
Dr. Kuettel is currently a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Kuettel is on staff in good standing at Anaheim Memorial Hospital, West Anaheim Medical Center, Chapman Hospital, Western Medical Center-Santa Ana and Placentia-Linda Hospital.
DR. Peter winkle
Dr. Winkle was born in New York City, New York. He moved with his family to California over 30 years ago. He is married and has four children. He is an avid sports fan.
Dr. Winkle is highly skilled in all endoscopic procedures including ERCP, colonoscopy and upper Endoscopy. He specializes in treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Winkle attended the University of California and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. He attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California Irvine. He completed his formal education at the University of California Los Angeles in the subspecialty of gastroenterology. He is re-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a certified principal investigator.
Dr. Winkle is a member of Associated Gastroenterology Medical Group. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, Orange County Medical Association and a Fellow of American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology..

Dr. steven Duckor
Dr. Duckor was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and has lived in California for over 45 years. He is married and has two children

Dr. Duckor attended the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended the University of Miami School of medicine and completed his internship and residency at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He completed his formal education at Long Beach Veterans Hospital and University of California, Irvine in the subspecialty of gastroenterology. He is currently board certified in addiction medicine and principle investigator for Anaheim Clinical Trials.
Dr. Duckor is a member of the Association Gastroenterology Medical Group. He is also a member of the American Medical Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.

DR. Michael Demicco
Dr. Michael DeMicco was born in Bronx, New York. He moved to California in 1975 and was awarded a Department of Health, Education, and Welfare grant for a GI fellowship at University of California Irvine. At the completion of his fellowship, he joined AGMG Medical Group in 1977. Dr. DeMicco is married and has two children. His hobbies include jogging, military history, and travel.
Dr. Michael DeMicco is highly skilled in all endoscopic procedures including ERCP, colonoscopy, and upper endoscopy. He has performed 40,000 procedures in the last 30 years. He is the Director of Liver Studies for AGMG as well as the Director of the GI Lab.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Michael DeMicco attended Colgate University and then University Medical School in Brooklyn. He graduated in the upper ten percent of his class in both schools. He then did his internship in internal medicine at Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York. He is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and addictionology. Dr. DeMicco also served as a senior assistant surgeon in the U.S. Public Health Service for six years. He did his internal medicine residency also in the public health service
Dr. Michael DeMicco is a member of AGMG Medical Group. He is a volunteer clinical faculty member at UCI Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Orange County Medical Association, and the National Liver Foundation. He is also a board member of the Pan-American Medical Association and is a Bockus Fellow in gastrointestinal diseases as well as a fellow in the American Board of Gastroenterology. In the past, Dr. DeMicco has been Director of the GI Lab at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton as well as Director of the GI Lab at Buena Park Doctors Hopsital. Currently, hs is Director of the AGMG Endoscopy Lab. He has also served as team physician for the Los Angeles Rams.
Dr. Michael DeMicco has served as prime investigator for many clinical trials that have been performed by AGMG. He has a particular interest in Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B, and he has a primary position in Hepatology with AGMG and is currently doing many clinical trials on Hepatitis C. He has served on liver panels and has published and peer reviewed many articles regarding gastrointestinal diseases.
